How + Adjective

¡Hola Ustedes! Soy nuevo en este sito web, pero me uní para preguntarles algo. Por un largo rato, me he estado preguntando como traducir preguntas como los siguientes, pero nunca he podido encontrar respuestas: How big is the store? How close am I to the destination? Si no notan lo similar en las frases, es que siempre hay "how + adjective." Gracias por su ayuda

In the particular sense you are going for- I have seen Qué tan, or cuán. I usually use Qué tan- and I note one of the sources says cuán is literary, not casual: But I have used it before without complaint from anyone.

I think you would say:

How big is the store? = ¿Cuánto grande es la tienda?

How close am I to the destination? = ¿A qué distancia estoy de la destinación?

Bienvenidos a Spanishdict amigo!!

"How" es usado en muchas situaciones y no hay una regla estricta que dice que debes usar "How" seguido de un adjetivo, "How + adjetivo" es sólo una manera de usar "How".

Por ejemplo, puedes decir;

• How can I learn German in three months?

• How are you?

• How do you want me to serve you?

• How is the weather today?

Si notas, no es necesario que un adjetivo sigue "How", puedes tener un verbo que sigue, en lugar del adjetivo..etc
