adverb ( although, even though )

There are many native English speakers here, most of us can offer great suggestions to the English sentences. I will do my best to go through them all, too. For the Spanish sentences, edit your posts according to the native Spanish speaker's suggestions. Use today's Word of the Day in your own Spanish sentence (and include the English translation as well). Try to use the word in a completely new way and vote on the sentences you like best. The winner will be chosen based upon the correct use of the word as well as the number of votes.

Guidelines:

Write sentences at least 5 words long, but don't write a paragraph either. Write your Spanish sentence, but include the English translation as well. Make the corrections suggested by other users and moderators in the comments section (try not to use personal pronouns unless absolutely necessary). Use your own words! (Don't use a translator, copy from a book, use song lyrics, etc.) Please keep political, religious or personal statements to a minimum. This is a practice game.

Ayer, 20 de diciembre, se celebraron las elececciónes generales en España, y anuque ganó el Partido Popular, no sabemos quién va a gobernar porque el PP tiene una mayoría tan pequeña que ya tenemos un parlamento sin mayoría. Si los partidos políticos no puedan resolver los problemas, España tiene que volver a las urnas en dos meses para otra elección.

Yesterday, the 20th of December, General Elections were held in Spain, but even tough the PP won, we don't know who is going to govern because the PP majority was so small that now there is a hung parliament . If the political parties can't resolve their differences Spain will have to hold another election in 2 months time.

Es necesario tener esto en cuenta para mantener la precisión de los satélites de GPS.

Aunque el clima aquí hace bastante calor en la temporada de las Navidades, en los centros comerciales todos los días hay Santas con grandes barbas llevando ropa caliente. Es una tradición de Europa, donde hace frio, pero a mí esto parece un poquito loco para Australia.

Although the weather here is quite hot at the Christmas season, in the shopping centres every day there are Santas with big beards wearing hot clothing. It is a tradition from Europe, where it is cold, but to me it seems a bit mad for Australia.
