El participio pasado vs El Presente Perfecto
Can somebody explain how and when to use el participio pasado? We just learned el presente perfecto and I'm not quite sure when to use which one. Thanks!

Present Perfect
The present perfect describes what a person has done, but notice that tener is not used even though it means to have. It is formed by combining haber (conjugated to the subject of the sentence) and the past participle.
Thus you do not choose between:
El participio pasado vs El Presente Perfecto
You use the first to create the second. And all perfect forms.
The past participle is also used at times for the true passive (combined with a form of ser), or as an adjective.
