Please help with preterite/imperfect

Question

I have to write an essay about Frida Kahlo in the yo form, but I have a couple sentences with preterite/imperfect and I'm not sure which one to do! Thanks!! I put question marks after the verb I was unsure about.

1. Durante mi vida era? una pintora muy famosa e influyentes de arte surrealismo.
2. En mi familia tenía? seis hermanas.
3. Nosotros vivíamos? en una casa azul.

They look OK to me, but do pay attention to Rey's comment. The first one, either fui or era will work. Era is more descriptive fui is more factual. - Daniela2041, Dec 2, 2015
