Possible to become fluent with Spanish background?

¡Hola!

So my ultimate goal is to become fluent in Spanish. I minored in Spanish when I graduated from college and also did a small study abroad trip so I do have some experience in the culture. At one point my Spanish was very good, but not fluent. Since I have not had the opportunity to use it since graduation I'm starting to lose some of the skills and I'm trying to prevent it as much as possible! So my question is, in addition to books, readings, music, telenovelas, what is the best software I could purchase to help practice vocab and grammar to achieve my goal??

Thanks in advance!

If it is at all possible in your life, make arrangements to partake in an immersion experience. There are many variations of Spanish depending on the country, but you can still become fluent without adopting a favorite variation. If you live in the Americas, you may want to go to one of the Spanish speaking countries for an immersion. Although I don't have any to recommend, I'm sure you will be able to find something to suit your needs.

The most difficult path to fluency is not traveling to a Spanish speaking country, so if that is your situation I can only advise that you spend as much time as possible listening to and interacting with native speakers in your area. You can become a fluent reader of Spanish, but that is not the most fun.

We'd love to have you become part of our forum as you develop your skills. Please consider adding more to your profile as to gender and location in the world - at least country.

Your best bet is to find a teacher of a friend of Spanish/Latin American origin to practice with. As you have studied so much in the past , I think you just need to practice conversation with somebody who can correct mistakes. Join a group, a class or go to an ' inter-cambio' if there are any around where you live.
