abjo and debajo
What is the differance between abajo and debajo which all means under or below?

More or less are the same, but I haver heard in the following way:
- Debajo -> Under/below. You need something on:
El gato está debajo de la mesa (Table is on the cat)
Él está debajo de mi en la jerarquía de la empresa (I am on him in the company)
- Abajo -> Maybe can be translated as 'down' in some circunstances
El niño está jugando abajo (Maybe you live in a flat and the boy is playing down in the street).
As I started, this time it is an opinion based on the Spanish use of both words.
I just put both of these words in the translator. The answers were really informative. I've been speaking Spanish all my life and didn't know some of the information given. And it's really cool because tomorrow's Word of the Day is "abajo."
