De dónde with "vuestros"

Question

If I want to ask 2 people where are their parents from?(Suppose I'm asking from 2 sisters) would it be "¿De dónde son vuestros padres?" I'm not sure about the order of words.. Or could it be e "¿De dónde son padres vuestros ?". I would use the first version but I would like to know which is is the correct one

Normally the short form is used, and comes before the noun:

"¿De dónde son vuestros padres?

As you note.

It is possible to use the long form, but then you use the article:

"¿De dónde son los padres vuestros?"

This would not be the common way, and would be somewhat like the English:

Where are those parents of yours from?

Do keep in mind vosotros forms are used almost exclusively in Spain, and normally replaced with ustedes forms in Latin America.

I agree with you. In Latin América we just say: "De dónde son tus padres?". Nevertheless, the second one "De dónde son los padres vuestros?" we could undestand what you want to know but it is an odd way to ask it. - Santyy7, Nov 26, 2015

The word order not really a matter of commonality but of emphasis.

A simple question ¿De dónde son vuestros (sus) padres?

Emphasizing your parents (ie: you ask about someones parents and then they ask about yours) ¿De dónde son los padres vuestros (suyos)? or simply ¿De dónde son los vuestros (suyos)?
