Hi everybody. Thanks to all those amigos being here to help us.

  1. what's difference between " espérate" and "espera" ? and exact meaning?
  2. How do you say " now you can keep reading"? ya puedes seguir leer? Is it right?
  3. "Todos pensamos.." means "We all think.." yes?

Thanks a lot

  1. Espérate is used as "wait" but it adds more focus about the act to wait (either for something or nothing). Espera, on the other hands, expects the addressee (those who are being addressed) to wait on something.

  2. It would be preferrable to say "Ya puedes seguir leyendo" as seguir usually goes with the gerund (-ando/-iendo). May the others clarify this further.

  3. Yes. (Nosotros,) todos pensamos ... we all think.

The reflexive "te" does give more emphasis or make the expression stronger-more urgent.

"Puedes seguir leyendo' (with or with out "ya") as Algaman95 has stated is good.

"Todos pensamos" -- also good.

(Now you have two answers in agreement)

Here's a funny one.

@Winkfish: I never taught in a private high school where everybody wears uniforms. It might be a lot different. - Daniela2041, Nov 24, 2015
