How to use ' se'

" Le pegaba, se burlaba de él y siempre le robaba la comida o el sandwich."

There are many uses of se and I don't have the time or inclination to explain it all, however, the se usage here is called reflexive because it tells us that the action is reflected onto the subject (the guy doing the hitting and making fun) - the subject is affected by the action. Se in this case is used many times when we have an intransitive verb (nowhere for the action to go).
