I know you probably do everything on your phone, but we still need proper English spelling in our posts: Spanish and all languages are capitalized, Not here but in your comment the pronoun "I" should always be capitalized and typo here "ect" should be etc - Jubilado, Nov 13, 2015

Since I don't think this is necessarily straightforward, I will provide a bit of help, but remember we do have a dictionary.

Luchar is the usual I think of for struggle, but it focuses more on the effort of struggling.

Tenemos que luchar contra la intolerancia. We have to struggle against intolerance.

for you first sentence I might choose costar:

Me cuesta mucho aprender español. Literally: it costs me a lot to learn Spanish. In the sense that it is hard for me.

for your second I might choose tener dificultades.

Tengo algunas dificultades en encontrar la estación de trenes. Literally: I have some difficulties in finding the train station. (remember in Spanish present is often used when present progressive is in English).

These are just my thoughts- I would wait to see what others think as well, as there are many ways to do this, and I am a learner.

Debykaya, here is an easy answer for the mouth ulcers, I had to go to the Farmacía and this worked for me, at least, they gave me a good medicine.

.Las aftas hacen que casi no puedo masticar/ me resulta difícil masticar

I like "me resulta difĂcil". I knew there would be other options. :) - bosquederoble, Nov 13, 2015
Bosque, it's good, but difficult, because whatever you say, there are always other options. - annierats, Nov 13, 2015
I always like to have more than one way to say anything- although it is nice to have a preferred one, so one doesn't stand there sputtering while pondering the options. :) - bosquederoble, Nov 13, 2015
I love the sputtering comment. And your approach is perfect. having a "go to" phrase. - gringojrf, Nov 13, 2015
