cuando salimos del cuarto de estar casi pisamos la boli el gato de la familia ,que estaba corriendo por el pasillo a toda velocidad.

For me, as Spanish native speaker, the sentence casi pisamos la boli el gato means nothing.
Maybe you wanted to say casi pisamos la cola del gato.
