Our own Ray 76

Has done what no one on SD has ever done before.

Ray, you are in the spotlight for earning more than 300000 reputation points. It's been 5 years since we joined SD a month apart and it has been an amazing journey. We have talked many times, almost every day, and had Skype chats with people from all 4 corners of the globe. I am pleased to call you my friend, my hermanito, part of my family. You are a blessing here to us at SD as a moderator and a very wise and level-headed person.

So let's welcome the DJ's for this momentous occasion as they get ready to play our favorite music.

Saying thank you is both a joy and an onerous task because I would hate

to forget someone , so I shall try to generalise.

The management of SD must be congratulated for giving us all a free

internet site for learning and arguably the preeminent learning site on the net.

My dear and oldest friend still on SD Sandy has done for me a wonderful post

please remember to thank her by giving her a vote or three.

You may have noticed that quite a few old members have joined the celebration

I really appreciate them all for that ,it gave me a great warm fuzzy feeling.

My two mod mates have stood by me over the past few months doing more

than their share of the modding load because of my absence due to illness,

so thanks Amber and Ian you are the best.

All the old members that have been

here from the early days have all been so kind helpful and considerate ,

we could not have managed without the commitment to teaching and excellence

that you have all endeavoured to achieve for all these years,

We used to call ourselves "spanishdictaholics"a 'nom de plume'worn with pride.

All of you up and coming "spanishdictaholics" learn from these Legends of SD

they may appear hard at times but they are always just and caring,

with your language learning uppermost in their hearts.

Our native Spanish speakers need a special mention from me , we have been

so fortunate over the years to have attracted many Spanish speaking members

who have worked so hard to help us learn this beautiful language , all of them

I have been proud to call 'friends" , those that are here now are so very close

to my heart ,I convey to them sack loads of love and thanks for the diligent way

they have spent their spare time reading our pathetic attempts at Spanish and

correcting us with good humour and friendship, you are all Legends.

Getting to know you even at long distance has really been fun. You've taught me how to speak a different kind of English. Really different!

I have always admired your style and your proclivity with palabras. You can say the nicest things---I think! I haven't figured some of them out as yet. I have been called many things, but the nicest thing anybody has ever called me is a Feisty Yank sheila.
