How do you know when to use accents?

Question

Hello! I was wondering, is there a way to tell when you need to use an accent for certain words or is it just down to memorization? In all of my Spanish tests in school, I get everything correct accept for the fact that I miss use the accents. Thanks if you can tell me !

1-all words that end in "on" or "ion" carry acents Example http://xurl.es/click-here 2-When you ask a question with "What, When, Why, Where, Who, How, How much" Example.

What? ¿Qué? When ¿Cuándo? Why? ¿Por qué? Where? ¿Dónde? ¿Adónde? Who? ¿Quién? How? ¿Cómo? How Mucho? ¿Cuánto?

Question: Why you are here? Pregunta: ¿Por que estas aquí? Answer: Because I am tired. Respuesta: Porque estoy cansado.
