Could someone please help to translate this
Reading a spanish paper ive come across the following and am struggling with translation (verbo en boga de la cursilería léxica). Any help would be appreciated thanks.

I agree with annierats that context would help a lot. (It always does!) But I suspect that this is a derogatory comment about a verb that's part of a tacky or prissy way of speaking.
Sorry i should have added more content. Here it is in a deeper context. Esto es más difícil de imaginar, pero hagan un esfuerzo, que hoy es el día de España polisémica y asimétrica: más imaginación ya no se puede tener en esta vida, pero esto es lo que hay. Y ahora, para terminar con el ejercicio imaginativo, hagan el favor de visualizar-verbo en boga de la cursilería léxica-una banda de cornetas y tambores que irrumpe en la calle de al lado y se pone a tocar marchas cofradieras a tutiplén.
Could you please put up more context? ' estar en boga', can mean to be in fashion, for example, therefore, it could mean that the verb is written in some fashionable typing style.
This is guesswork but without context I can't do any better.
