I have another quick question: Most of my Mexican friends say that Spanish is more used in Mexico than in Spain. Is this true?

Well, there technically are many other languages that could lay claim to the title of "Spanish" since regional languages like Catalan, Basque exist in Spain. So, in that aspect there might be more native speakers of Castilian in Mexico. But, FYI, there are more people in Mexico than Spain.
