Help with word choice for two sentences

Question

I am writing an essay and I need help with two of the corrections that my professor gave me. I wrote:

1. La chica experimentó ambos mientras huyendo de la policía. My profesor told me that I'm missing a word in the sentence. Do I need a "de" between mentors and huyendo?

2. El salto es una reflexión de que ocurrió en la realidad. My professor told me that reflexión was not the right word. I'm trying to say that the jump was a reflexion of what occurred en reality.

1.La chica experimentó ambos mientras huyendo de la policía.

La chica experimentó ambos mientras huía de la policía

(This would be the correct way if you have talk before about what are "ambos")

2.El salto es una reflexión de que ocurrió en la realidad.

El salto es una reflexión de lo que ocurrió en realidad
