Good day!

It might just be the way i speak but i find myself looking for this phrase all the time in spanish. No matter what i've tried i'm understood in the way i want to be.

I've tried: "te arreglas" and "exito"

I want to say something like: "did you come right at the shop?" "Do you come right with your spanish in new york?" Etc

This is not an expression that I have heard in American English. I'm not sure but I think we would say "go okay" as in "Did it go okay?" which would mean "tener éxito" in certain contexts. Please see my post on "Watch your language - Part 1". - Jubilado, Oct 12, 2015
Is it perhaps Saad Efrican mate ? - ray76, Oct 13, 2015
I subsequently found out that it is uniquely South African english. The reason is because the literal translation of the phrase is said in Afrikaans very often. By the way, "mate" is not at all South African english but Australian. :-) - JohannKotze, Oct 13, 2015
