There are many native English speakers here, most of us can offer great suggestions to the English sentences. I will do my best to go through them all, too. For the Spanish sentences, edit your posts according to the native Spanish speaker's suggestions. Use today's Word of the Day in your own Spanish sentence (and include the English translation as well). Try to use the word in a completely new way and vote on the sentences you like best. La mayoría de mis amigos son o cristianos o judíos. Algunos son "mesiánicos" como yo.
Most of my friends are Christians or Jews. Some are "Messianics" as am I.

Cuando soñabamos con vivir en el campo en España,como la mayoría de íngleses teníamos poca idea de la realidad. En Inglaterra la vida en el campo es tranquila, pero en España hay ruído por todas partes. Los perros de los vecinos ladran sin parar noche tras noche, los vecinos tienen fiestas estupendas cada fin de y ponen la música a todo vólumen . Cuando , al fin los invitados van, arrancan los motores revolucionandolos al máximo y gritando 'adios' en alta voz. Después los anfitriones cierren las puertas de golpe y pongan la televisón a un vólumen tan alto que todos los vecinos pueden disfrutar sin comprarse televisores suyos.
When we dreamt of living in the countryside in Spain, like most English people we had little idea of the reality. In England country life is quiet but in Spain there is noise all around. The neighbours' dogs bark without stopping night after night. The neighbours have fantastic parties every week-end and put the music on at maximum volume. And, when at last, the guests take their leave, they start the engines and rev them well, whilst shouting ' Goodbye' loudly. Afterwards the hosts slam the doors shut and switch their telly on loud enough for the whole neighbourhood to enjoy it without anybody having to buy a telly of their own.
