Grading/ Notas

Grading/ Notas

Sometimes for telling my Spanish students I'll grade their papers I'll just say Recibirán notas

If I wanted to say that I graded past tense, like I just finished grading their papers, what sounds better:

Les di notas/ calificaciones

or

Les puse notas a Uds.

or...???

I would like to add to what Dela Sierra has said.

"Acabo de revisiar sus papeles/tareas" I have just finished grading your papers/assignments

"He revisado sus papeles/tareas. I have graded your papers/assignments.

"Revisé" sus papeles/tareas. I graded your papers/assignments.

"Las calificaciones/notas son buenas/malas" The grades are good/bad.

Si, "sus papeles" es mejor. I don't know where my head was at there ;) - DelaSierra, Oct 2, 2015
I usually use revisar or acabo de revisar.. awesome. I think these options sound best. I was just wondering today if there was a literal way to say I graded your assignments. - kgotw405, Oct 2, 2015

"Revisar" was taught to me by a friend to be used as "to grade" though I know it isn't the literal translation.

This is just what sounds better to me, but I can't vouch for it being the more proper usage:

Past-perfect

He revisado los papeles de ustedes

Preterite

Revisé la tarea

I say "he revisado" a lot I still think it sounds best - kgotw405, Oct 2, 2015
