Please fill out your English and Spanish levels of proficiency in your profile. Please also always capitalize the pronoun "I" because that is correct English and begin sentences with a capital letter and use "?" at the end of a question. Thanks! - Jubilado, Sep 26, 2015

Welcome to the forum.

Good question.

I would simply say:

John y James tienen la misma estatura

or

John y James son iguales de alto

each other is usually el uno al otro.

I suppose you could say

John y James tienen la misma estatura el uno al otro

But it seems excessively redundant to me.

I am not sure if there is a literal way to match your word ordering, maybe someone else will have some other ideas. I am an intermediate level learner.

Please give consideration to filling out your profile.

So for we:

Tenemos la misma estatura", (or) "somos iguales de alto.

In English is not redundant? :) - chileno, Sep 26, 2015
John and James are of the same height / John and james are equally tall. - chileno, Sep 26, 2015
Yes, it would be redundant in that formulation in English. :) - bosquederoble, Sep 26, 2015
I did think of another: Soy tan alto como tú. - bosquederoble, Sep 26, 2015
