In Spain, we used to say portátil. The complete definition is ordenador portátil but it is not common to hear that way. You should say portátil. Maybe in other Spanish speaking countries there are other ways.
In Peru we use the term: "computadora" or the English word: "laptop".
I've heard "ordenador portátil". But I call it "notebook" if it has a CD/DVD entry, or "netbook" if it doesn't.
In California and, I guess, Mexico, we say "computadora portátil" or just "portátil"
