Homework using "conectores", " el pretérito" and " el imperfectivo"
I would be grateful if someone check my Spanish homework below using the above in the question title.
"Una noche de sábado yo dormía en mi cama. Cuando oí un ruido fuera. A mí asombro había un hombre trataba de forzar el coche de mi vecino. Por eso grité fuera de la ventana. El hombre giro, él tenía 20 años más o menos y se llevaba zapatillas de deporte rojas brillantes. De todos modos, total que se fue corriendo por la calle"
This is what I wanted to say in English: "One Saturday night I was sleeping in my bed. To my astonishment, there was a man trying to break into my neighbours car. That is why I shouted out of the window. The man turned, he was about 20 years old and wearing bright red trainers. Anyway ,to sum up he went running down the street."

I would write your idea this way: Un sábado por la noche estaba dormido en la cama cuando me despertó un ruido en la calle. Me asombré al ver a un hombre tratando de entrar a golpes el coche de mi vecino, así es que grité por la ventana. El hombre se volteó, tenía más o menos 20 años y llevaba zapatos (o "tenis") de deporte rojos brillantes. Al fin de cuentas, dejó el coche y se fue corriendo por la calle.
