Welcome to the forum. As others have said it helps us if you put your language level in your profile.
For example I find your question ambiguous - are you asking what it means or how you should respond?
As to what it means try the good translator on line joydeep has given you the link or go to word reference.
Depending on the circumstances of where you heard or read the phrase you may want to know how formal/ informal it is and the usual response.
I am assuming you are learning Spanish but many people on the site have English and Spanish as second languages.
Please fill out the profile so we know your level of proficiency with respect to Spanish and English and help you appropriately and for simple translations you may also try the translator available on the site .. if you are still unclear you could post your find here and we can then help you burl out your attempts.
See the following link ..
http://www.spanishdict.com/translate/que hay de nuevo
It will tell you exactly what the expression means .. you could have looked it up yourself aswell .. all you had to do was, to go to the translation section and enter the expression there and hit enter on your keyboard and the site would have automatically brought you to the right page ..
Best of Luck.. and please fill out your profile before posting more questions in the forum .. hehe .. Regards, Jimmy
The most common response is "nada" (or nothing) Nobody asks me that because I have so much going on all the time that I could take a long time to tell you.
