Lack of encouragement means that I'm limiting myself to only 1 entry when I play this game. For the people who don't vote for me they end up hurting you in the end as it results in my reduced participation. - Sassette, Sep 2, 2015
I know a lot of cross words at the moment mate. - ray76, Sep 2, 2015
Me too mate - don't help much though do they? :) - ian-hill, Sep 2, 2015

Better 'no está claro si esta fanfarroneando o si se está quejando' :) you can use 'sure' if you say 'No estoy segura si...' ;) - Pablo064, Sep 2, 2015

  1. brook (6 letters - arroyo)

El agricultor dicho, "Todavia seis semanas del moras azul, si Dios quiere y no elevarse el arroyos."

The farmer said, "Still six weeks of blueberries, God willing and the cricks don't rise."

('Crick' is common slang for creek or brook.)

Crick = a new word for me - gracias amigo. - ian-hill, Sep 1, 2015
..agricultor dijo..(él/ella dijo simple past-- 'dicho' is past participle of 'decir') 'de moras azules' and you could just say 'si Dios quiere' but it would literally be 'Si Dios quiere y el arroyo no crece' :) - Pablo064, Sep 2, 2015
ack! I chose 'dijo' at first, but. My method is to think up the Spanish and plug it in to see if I get my desired English. 'crece' is much nicer. Thanks again! - roveg, Sep 2, 2015

Manure (9 letters - - - - - - - - -)

Después de contraer un poco de la demencia senil, abuelita dio un té una reunión para tomar el té, y entre sus otras recetas, encontró su receta de té de estiércol, pero se le olvidó de que era para las plantas en el jardín.

After developing a bit of senile dementia, granny threw a tea party, and among her other recipes, found her recipe for manure tea, but it slipped her mind that it was for the plants in the garden.

I'm not sure about 'dar un té' it sounds like 'she gave a tea' maybe 'hizo una reunión de té/para tomar el té' - Pablo064, Sep 1, 2015
not much time ago i was seeing ALF and there was a episode where alf says something about 'manure' (in that ep Alf speaks in Spanish .D) and I thought he was saying 'maneuver' but it didn't make sense, it didn't match with the scene - Pablo064, Sep 2, 2015
