I am trying to say how long I have attended a school. I was wondering if "he asistido" was correct, and if so how to say for... years?

In one of my courses, they used "Estoy aqui desde hace x años." Is that used? It might have been a matter of weeks rather than years if that makes a difference, but it was definitely the present tense they used.

Sí, Pez Guiñador! Es muy correcto.♥ The time expression makes no difference. - Daniela2041, Aug 30, 2015

Another alternative is:

Hace x años que asisto a y.

En México lo más correcto es decir (the rightest way to say it in México is):

Llevo x años yendo a la escuela.

Por ejemplo:

Llevo X años asistiendo a la escuela X.

Llevo X años en esta escuela.
