How would you properly translate dyed diesel fuel used in this sentence? He was sentenced to prison for selling large amounts of dyed diesel fuel. My attempt: El fue condenado a prisión para vender grandes cantidades de diesel combustible teñido.

My name is Luis, I'm from Spain. The right translation it could be :
Fue condenado a prisión por vender grandes cantidades de gasolina diesel teñida.
Or
El fue condenado a prisión por vender grandes cantidades de combustible diesel teñido.
At the second case, like we are talking about COMBUSTIBLE ( masculine ) we change the verb TEÑIR.

The verb tintar works as well. Combustible tintado.
