Spanish Help Needed please!

Hi everyone!

I'm really in a need of help, since I have a deadline in 2 hours. I've written my essay, however I really need someone feedback, and it would really help, if you could correct me too.

En mis vacaciones he dormido hasta tarde, pero no es bastante. En el inicio de vacaciones he ayunado el Ramadán. No ha tan difícil, pero un poco fatigoso. Imaginar un día sin comida y bebidas - Es no todo el día, pero casi 20 horas!

Después del Ramadán, he ido a mi hermano con mi madre. Vive en Fredericia, una ciudad en Jutlandia. Es muy pacífico en Jutlandia no como en Copenhague. Se tornar aunque aburrido.

Desde Fredericia he ido a Neumünster con mi madre, hermano y la novia de mi hermano. Neumünster es una ciudad en el estado federal Slesvig-Holstein. En Neumünster hay una pequeña diseña descarga. Hay marcas como Versace, Gucci, Michael Kors etc. He comprado muchos vestidos de Ralph Lauren, una bolsa de Gucci y una cartera y un reloj de Karl Lagerfeld.

Además, he cambiado mi habitación. He obtenido un guardarropa, así que ahora tengo dos. Hemos también movido mi cama y pintado la habitación blanca. He preparado para mi cumpleaños también. Mi cumpleaños es el 26 a agosto y voy a cumplir 16 años de edad.

En conjunto ha sido divertidos. He estado ir de compras, he estado a la playa y a Bryggen con mis amigos.

Hi Valentina Welcome to the forum. Can you add your level of Spanish and English to your profile? I assume your English is better than your Spanish but perhaps Danish is your first language.

You learn the past perfect at an early stage in Spanish - it is used more often in Spain than in Latin America

I don't know if you have learned other past tenses but if you describe something that you do repeatedly you usually use the imperfect eg sleeping late. Let us know whether you have been told to stick to a particular tense and which ones you know. In August the sun sets late and rises early in Denmark so it must be hard fasting for so long.

You may want to use regular and imperfect past tenses a little more. If you translate it back to yourself notice it sounds a little weird in some of the contexts all the "I have been's, I have slept, I have etc..."

I don't know how else to put this, other than, it's just pretty bad. Is this a college assignment? High School? What level? Your Spanish 1 or 2 teacher may give you a break, but beyond that not sure.

Oh and I also wrote this part: Vacaciones son asombrosas, pero siempre demasiado corto. Mis vacaciones han ido sin duda alguna demasiado corto. Vacaciones de verano son ni siquiera, aunque ha durado en 2 meses. Estoy muy cansada y no preparó para secundaria, pero debo ir allí y sobrevivo.

Hi! It's totally understandable - I just don't know how to describe my level, I'd say beginner personally. However I've been told to stick to the present perfect, which is the only thing I've learned besides present, however I can move to other tense too. I just went to see my brother

Yeah, the problem is that you're mixing your tenses. Like I said, translate it back to yourself to see: "After Ramadan, I have gone to my brother with my mom."

In that context you want to use the preterit to describe the action that happened in the past. This sentence is also a little incomplete. You went to "see" you brother with your mother, or you went to go do something with them? Or you just went to him?

Después del Ramadán, mi mamá y yo fuimos a ver mi hermano.

After Ramadan, my mother and I went to see my brother.

We're supposed to do that, as in using "I have" I've only had spanish for a couple of months in high school.
