"Hola, me gustaría ve algo acerca de los lenguajes diferentes a los de occidente. Como las historias que cuentan los tejidos de los Wayus.“ I need to answer the question but I only understand two fourths of it…

Hola SeaOwl, bosquederoble has answered the question that you asked but please allow me to make a correction in your title. Would someone translate this for me please?

The word may asks or gives permission for someone to do something in a very formal way and would not normally be used in everyday language.

Examples:-

May I sit here? (Do I have your permission to sit here?)

May I leave work early today? = (Do I have your permission to leave work early?)

May I translate the document for you? – (Do I have your permission to translate ……)

You may sit here. = (You have my permission to sit here.)

I hope that this is helpful.

Assuming it is me gustaría ver, not ve (which makes little sense to me) :

Hola, me gustaría ve algo acerca de los lenguajes diferentes a los de occidente. Como las historias que cuentan los tejidos de los Wayus

Hello, I would like to see something about languages different from those of the West, like the stories that the fabrics of the Wayúu tell.

Here los de occidente/ those of the West- would refer to European languages.

In the middle to end of the link I included, it gives some of the meanings of the symbolism of the different forms. ;) - bosquederoble, Aug 23, 2015
