I need an update from someone at work

I have a job foreman who needs to check in with me more often during the day. Right now, I need an update on the day's progress so I have an idea when the crew will return for the day.

I was going to text him: Necesito las últimas sobre, por favor. Would that be a correct way to ask for an update? Thanks!

Or

Necesito una actualización del progreso / trabajo de hoy.
