Can someone please proofread my Spanish exchange essay?

I am a college student applying for an international exchange program in Spain. Part of my application process requires that I write a Spanish personal statement. I tried really hard with my essay to get my message across, but since Spanish is not my first language I know there has to be errors somewhere. I would really appreciate if someone/anyone would proofread my paper and give me feedback. This is really important to me, so thank you so much in advance!

First Paragraph

ENGLISH VERSION

As a college student, one of the many phrases heard quite often is, “your college years are the best four years of your life.” As a college student myself, I openly embrace this idea. I believe that college is a time for our youth to invent themselves, a time to discover who they truly are. College allows one to explore exciting new ideas and discover options that were previously unattainable. I do not believe that there is any better way to understand and discover the world around us than to travel. Studying abroad gives students this opportunity. It gives students the ability to see cultures, religions, and ideas from a different standpoint, one that is far out of their comfort zone. I believe that studying abroad creates tolerance, appreciation, and acceptance for cultures around us.

Second Paragraph

ENGLISH VERSION

Ever since I was first introduced to the Spanish culture and language during my first year of high school, I have been fascinated and eager to learn more. There was something about the language and culture that intrigued me and it inspired me to see the world from a different perspective. When I first entered high school, I, like so many other young students, desperately grasped at straws to try and find something that made me feel like I belonged. As a result, I joined the Spanish club at my school. Immediately I was accepted into a community that showed me the grace and beauty of a culture that was previously unfamiliar to me. I fell in love with the Spanish language. I began to watch Spanish movies, read Spanish literature, and listen to Spanish music. Ever since then, every second I spend studying the Spanish language, history, and culture, the deeper I fall in love. I knew by the time I reached college that I wanted to incorporate Spanish into the career that I would have for the rest of my life. Therefore, I decided to use my love and enthusiasm for the Spanish culture and language by working towards becoming a foreign language educator, with the hope that someday I can inspire children to fall in love with the language as I have.

Third Paragraph

ENGLISH VERSION

Even though I have acquired significant experience with the Spanish language throughout my years of study, I believe that studying abroad in Spain would deepen my understanding and appreciation of not only the language, but of the culture, the people, and their history. It would be an extremely beneficial opportunity for me to be completely immersed in the culture through an ISEP program. I strongly believe that I will be able to relate my personal experiences in Spain to my academic and professional goals. I believe that through studying abroad, I would gain valuable skills which would in turn help me become an exceptional foreign language educator for the upcoming generation.

In Spanish we use paragraphs the same as in English, I learned this many years before university level - 005faa61, Aug 19, 2015
I know this. However, my formatting was changed when I pasted my text. I asked for proofreading, not formatting, - Jjohn159, Aug 19, 2015
I didn't have time to put this into proper paragraphs, but at least it's broken up a bit. - rac1, Aug 19, 2015
I´ll give you a vote, really good effort, but I haven´t got time to read it all just now. If you break it into two or three sections and put your Englsish version aswell, you should get more answers. - annierats, Aug 19, 2015

I believe by your username that you're a male. In that case, yo soy un universitario. I would also say "sus años en la universidad..." instead of "de".

This is not wrong, but I would replace the first "Creo" for "Pienso" that way you wouldn't repeat the same word, but that's just my opinion. It's not wrong!

Here you are repeating the same phrase, I would suppress the second one: Estudiar en el extranjero ofrece a los estudiantes esta oportunidad.

I also changed "de" for "hacia", you could also write "apecio a las culturas del mundo."

This sounds a bit weird to me. I guess you could say "desde que fui presentado" though it sounds a bit odd, but I'd definitely change "he sido fascinado". Maybe I'd say something like this, though it's a bit different.

I'd change "en" for "de".

Instead of "puedo" is "pueda".

I hope this helps, good job! Buena suerte, ojalá te acepten como estudiante extranjero.
