Car bumper parts in Mexican Spanish
Can you please check my Spanish translation of these English sentences?
The bumper has two parts: the plastic cover and the absorber.
The absorber is a piece of Styrofoam that the cover covers.
I'm looking for Mexican Spanish, so I'm pretty sure the word for bumper is defensa (and not, for example, parachoques) and the word for Styrofoam is unicel (and not, for example, poliestireno).
La defensa tiene dos partes : la funda de plástico y el absorbedor.
El absorbedor es una pieza de unicel que la funda cubre.
Thanks!

In Mexico we call this part La facia/fascia although it´s not a Spanish word.
The styrofoam thing (unicel) is called El anti impacto.
But these modern plastic bumpers have 3 parts, rather than two. There is also a steel support behind the unicel called El refuerzo. Without this part it is nothing but a bunch of plastic.
The entire assembly is commonly called la defensa, but el parachoques is well understood.
