Compiling an interview in Spanish

Compiling an interview in Spanish

Hi there, I'm looking to interview somebody in Spanish, personally my Spanish is not fantastic - I'm still learning. I was hoping that some of you kind people could help me refine the translation of my questions and (possibly) answers. To start off, is this correct?

¿Me pregunto si yo pudiera entrevista tú para una publicación en línea?

I am looking to say: 'I was wondering if I could interview you for an online publication?'

Thanks smile

I found your question. Please add your level of Spanish to your profile and your native language. I voted for you here, you should be able to send me a pm now. :) - rac1, Aug 6, 2015

You have relied too much on word-for-word translation even though you have made a good effort. It would sound more natural to say something like this: Quisiera saber si pudiera entrevistarle a Ud. con el motivo de publicar en linea tal entrevista.

Also "looking to do something" to me sounds very strange, even though I know what you mean. This sort of thing would never make any sense using word-for-word translation.
