Hola a todos,

Traducí una poema pequeña, por favor hazme saber si hay algunos errores.

Vamos a crecer árboles

"Tuve un pájaro pero se lo voló,

Tuve una ardilla pero se lo corrió,

Ahora, tengo un árbole,

Los dos han regresado."

Salud, Rosita

Vamos a cultivar árboles

"Tuve un pájaro; pero echó a volar.

Tuve una ardilla; pero se escapó.

Ahora que tengo un árbol ambos han regresado."

Great post - Mardle, Aug 3, 2015
¿Cómo te suenan “salió volando” y “salió corriendo”? - bosquederoble, Aug 3, 2015
:) - ian-hill, Aug 3, 2015
@Bosque,very good and in the end will be "y ambos..." :) - crucesignatus, Aug 3, 2015
Podría ser otra opción: “Ahora que tengo un árbol, ambos han regresado.” (en vez de "y" ambos)? - bosquederoble, Aug 3, 2015
Cruce. solo despegan los aviones, yo pondría echó a volar - 000a35ff, Aug 3, 2015

Gracias, Cruces. :) - bosquederoble, Aug 3, 2015
Muchisimas gracias Cruces!!! "echo a volar" es la frase perfecta. - rosita_raji, Aug 4, 2015
You are very welcome Rosita, but you must thank to Tlexis for that! :) - crucesignatus, Aug 4, 2015

Nice effort Rosita.

I don't think you need 'lo' in either of your first two lines. As Mardle says, it's just ' árbol'.

Also, se voló, it flew away, is fine, but se corrió has a distinct sexual meaning, I would eliminate 'se' and stick with corrió, o se fue.

Spanish natives, please lads??? - annierats, Aug 3, 2015
Is ' se corrió ' what I think it is? The bloke was a bit quick about it? - annierats, Aug 3, 2015
Se corrió has a sexual meaning. - 000a35ff, Aug 3, 2015
Thanks, that's what I thought. - annierats, Aug 4, 2015

Is this a poem you have written in Spanish that you want someone to correct/improve?

In my country if it was a grey squirrel we would be very pleased if it ran away!

árbol does not have an e on the end.

Please clarify

Thanks

Hola Mardle, Esta poesía ha escrito (en la lengua Tamil) por el presidente más querido de la India - Abdul Kalam. He hecho un esfuerzo para traducirlo en española. no le copié de ningún lugar. - rosita_raji, Aug 3, 2015
Es bueno - Mardle, Aug 3, 2015
