I'll take a look at the first paragraph for you.

The Oxbridge Superior of Police Studies, also known as OSPS has self-imposed the challenge to annually publish the present book dedicated to the compilation of criminalistic and criminologic studies that pretends to divulge knowledge based on police matters.

Firstly, are you sure that the title is right? Oxbridge Superior of Police Studies - that doesn't sound right and google yields no information regarding that name or the OSPS acronmyn.

Rather than self-imposed you could say .... has taken it upon themselves to publish this book which is dedicated to ....

Do you really mean to say 'pretends'? That means it doesn't really do it, they just act like that's what they're doing, but they're not.
