Would that be 'we used to go' or 'we used to run'? Thank you for your help.

look in your verb book , and make sure that your spelling is "ibamos" and not "ííbamos " - ray76, Jul 18, 2015
Where do you see, "ííbamos", Raymon? - rac1, Jul 18, 2015
I'm sure Ray meant to type "íbamos" - Jack-OBrien, Jul 18, 2015
He did type, "íbamos"...... and "ííbamos"... - rac1, Jul 18, 2015
In his comment, he typed "ibamos" without the stressed 'i'. Sorry if I misunderstood. - Jack-OBrien, Jul 18, 2015
Yes, You're right, he did. I was asking him about, "ííbamos". - rac1, Jul 18, 2015
Yes Jack i meant the stressed ( í ) - ray76, Jul 18, 2015
I know what you meant, Ray. I was referring to your spelling, "ííbamos", with 2 i's. Do you see? - rac1, Jul 18, 2015

It means 'we were going' or 'we used to go' - it's the imperfect tense of ir.

The verb to run is 'correr'. And 'we were running' or 'we used to run' would be corríamos.

The regular imperfect endings are -aba for -ar verbs (hablaba, hablabas, hablaba, hablábamos, hablabais, hablaban) and -ía for -er and -ir verbs (corría, corrías, corría, corríamos, corríais, corrían etc) but 'ir' is irregular (iba, ibas, iba, íbamos, ibais, iban).
