"speech" vs. "communication"

"speech" vs. "communication"

The difference between speech and communication is that you can communicate in other ways besides speech (e.g., facial expressions, writing). I know that speech in Spanish is "el habla" and that to talk to someone is "hablarse". But how to I describe communication that is not verbal (i.e., not with speech)? Would I still use "hablarse"? Or is there another word that does not have the connotation for being verbal?

Thanks!

I believe like in English, you can use the word "comunicar" (to communicate) or perhaps "comunicar sin palabras".

Me encanta como comunica Rodrigo con la gente, no simplemente habla, sino con su lenguaje corporal, su sentido del humor y su cara simpática, puede decir mucho más que alguien que solo tiene palabras elocuentes.

I love the way Rodrigo communicates with people, he doesn't just talk, however with his body language, sense of humor and friendly face, he can say so much more than someone with only eloquent words.
