What does "Ni un tango mean"?

Question

I was talking about how I was getting a new phone therefore I couldn't download an app to chat to them on, and they responded with "ni un tango."

I'm guessing that "tango" is a reference to the Tango phone app for video calls, voice calls, and texting. Still guessing: You couldn't download whatever app you tried to download, and the response was intended to be something like, "Not even Tango?"

Alas, it's hard enough to translate proper Spanish or English (or any other language), and casual (sloppy) messages with poor spelling, incorrect capitalization, and mysterious abbreviations are many times harder.

Have a vote for joining and doing your profile. Did you think of asking them what they meant? Do you know where they are from? Some words mean something completely different in for example Argentina or Spain. It is interesting to learn slang terms but as you are new to learning Spanish it could be confusing and slang terms can be transitory. Tangar the verb can mean trick or swindle so maybe they were warning you to be careful

Could they have said "Ni un tengo" ("neither do I have one" or something like that)? would that make sense in the context you were in?
