Let's play pretend, make believe, pretend play
Hoping to get some feedback from native speakers. When children play pretend, they often say to one another "let's play pretend" or "let's play make believe". How would one child, in Spanish, say that to another child? I am not looking for a google translation. When I google pretend play the translation is juego de aparentar. Other searches have resulted in juego de ficción and jugar a pretender. These are literal translations and perhaps not exactly how two native speakers would say it in casual everyday conversations. Looking forward to getting some feedback. Thx.

We use the imperfect tense:
Juguemos a que éramos piratas, y que yo era el capitán, y que íbamos a China...
