Venezuelan accent is much like Caribbean Spanish, for example Cuban Spanish. In Venezuelan Spanish (and Cuban Spanish), words like "también" and "defensa", for example, are pronounced something like "tambiéng" and "defengsa". Also, the letter "j" sound more like a "h" in Venezuelan Spanish, rather than the raspy sound it has in Spanish as spoken in Spain. Words such as "cansado" is pronounced something like "casao".
You will naturally emulate the accent of your teacher, so it is not necessary to "learn an accent". Also you wll naturally start speaking Spanish with a Slovakian accent unless you spend time while learning in a Spanish speaking country.
I would not worry about an accent, but just speak what you learn as clearly as possible and follow your teacher´s advice on pronunciation.
All you have to do is to get a Venezuelan movie, and start watching it without subtitles of any kind. Sooner or later you will start to recognize words as you study the language.
Then try reading a long paragraph out loud while recording yourself, then listen to the recording. You will instantly know what's wrong. So then, you have to do this last exercise a lot until you recognize you are imitating the sounds and cadence of it as you hear it in the movie.
