El Sabado usage
I know that sometimes "el" precedes the name of a day, and sometimes it doesn't. I think it is the same for seasons, no? "En el verano". Can someone explain when and when not to include "el"? Thanks.

Sorry i dont have put an example with " en el verano," as you want. I suposse that this one aclare to you what i means. "En el verano de 1980 nacio mi hijo" "in the summer of 1980 was borne my son." "Mi hijo nacio en verano" "My son was borne on summertime"
When you want to say, for example, "on Friday" the Spanish would be "el viernes"
If you wanted to say, "On Saturdays we don't work." you would say, "Los sábados no trabajamos.
Regarding the months, the advice given by txelis is correct.
First of all sorry for my english i dont prctice it 20 years ago. "El verano" is a detreminated summer . For example: El verano pasado hizo frio. The past summer was cold. Its a determinated summer (the past one) If you dont put "el" you are speaking in general. In a not determinated s . Sense For example : En verano el tiempo es bueno. On summertime the weather it is ok..
