There are many native English speakers here, most of us can offer great suggestions to the English sentences. I will do my best to go through them all, too. For the Spanish sentences, edit your posts according to the native Spanish speaker's suggestions. Use today's Word of the Day in your own Spanish sentence (and include the English translation as well). Try to use the word in a completely new way and vote on the sentences you like best. The winner will be chosen based upon the correct use of the word as well as the number of votes.
Guidelines:
Write sentences at least 5 words long, but don't write a paragraph either. Write your Spanish sentence, but include the English translation as well. Make the corrections suggested by other users and moderators in the comments section (try not to use personal pronouns unless absolutely necessary). Use your own words! (Don't use a translator, copy from a book, use song lyrics, etc.) Please keep political, religious or personal statements to a minimum. This is a practice game.

Se puede pensar que estar de vacaciones es relajante, pero estoy pasando un mes en España y todos los días hay una rutina exigente porque hay tantas cosas que es necesario hacer. Por ejemplo, estamos en Granada y hoy fuimos a la Alhambra. ¡Qué maravillosa experiencia! Es uno de los sitios históricos más importante en el mundo. You might think that being on a holiday is relaxing, but I am spending a month in Spain and every day there is a demanding routine because there are so many things one has to do. En Los Estados Unidos, la única vez que oigo la palabra "exigente" es con la frase "exigentes circunstancias". Las "circunstancias exigentes" es el término legal que refiere a mandamientos las órdenes de registro. Si la policía cree que los ocupantes estén están en peligro o haya hay riesgo de destrucción de prueba, la polícía puede romper la puerta y entrar en la casa sin previo aviso. No sé si esta ley existe en otros países, aunque supongo que sí.
In the United States, the only time I hear the word "exigent" is with the phrase "exigent circumstances." "Exigent circumstances" is a legal term that pertains to search warrants. If the police believe that the occupants are in danger or there is a risk of destruction of evidence, the police may break down the door and enter the house without notice. I do not know if this law exists in other countries but I suppose it does.
