There are many native English speakers here, most of us can offer great suggestions to the English sentences. I will do my best to go through them all, too. For the Spanish sentences, edit your posts according to the native Spanish speaker's suggestions. An example where either the subjunctive or indicative can be used but the meaning is different with each.
No va a comprar un coche de lujo aunque tenga el dinero.
He is not going to buy a luxury car although he may have the money. (maybe he doesn't)
No va a comprar un coche de lujo aunque tiene el dinero.
He is not going to buy a luxury car although he has the money. (he definitely does)
Notice in the first sentence, that the English translation includes the word "may" which is often is similar in English to "can/be able" to and to a form of poder in Spanish. Here it means "might" or "it is a possibility that." Notice that neither poder or posibilidad appear in the Spanish sentence, but the best (I think) English translation does include the word may. This illustrates the power of the subjunctive mood in Spanish which does not exist in English. Sometimes, simply by changing the mood of the verb you can impact the meaning. Of course there are many constructions in Spanish where you can not use both, but this one situation where you can.
Cuando estábamos en Barcelona, nos quedamos en un hotel cinco estrellas de lujo.
