Welcome to the forum. Do you have access to a search engine which includes images? If so, sometimes putting the word in and image solves the problem. I am British so my answers are coloured by this.

Sandwich was originally a British term named after someone called Sandwich! When I was very young it was jam or paste, meat or cheese but now there is a wide variety of breads and fillings and it is very popular for a quick lunch with many shops selling them. My understanding is that in Spain a bocadillo is made from crusty bread sliced lengthwise eg a baguette or similar, usually containing ham or cheese. The English word is used in Spain for the less traditional sandwiches made with sliced bread [pan molde]

I have visited Mexico a number of times and their version of a bocadillo is called a 'torta'

So far as your other questions - here is a link to an answer on pez/pescado

pez/pescado

I knew the answer to that one, but thought I would show you a previous thread. You can search the forum for previous answers.

So far as cuenco /tazón - search to see if this has been answered. I suspect both terms are understood everywhere.

In the end a word preferred in Mexico may be different to Spain or Argentina.

If you need to know in relation to a specific country then ask again as there are native speakers from most Spanish speaking countries.

Regarding bocadillo and torta: Where I live in Mexico, the far more common word is sandwich. - jtaniel, Jun 13, 2015
And I have never heard cuenco, always tazón. - jtaniel, Jun 13, 2015
In Spain they use both bocadillo and sandwich but Mardle is right that bocadillo is more like a filled crusty roll whereas 'sandwich' is the same as in England :) - FELIZ77, Jun 13, 2015
jtaniel I assumed closer to the border sándwich may be preferred. When I visited Oaxaca they used torta. I don't know which word they use for bowl, so thanks - Mardle, Jun 14, 2015
