Legarto en Mexico.

Cuando hablaba con una amiga de Mexico, Vi un legarto (lizard in English) Me digo legarto y ella me dice legarto es un alligator en English.

Si legarto es un alligator entonces que es la palabra por lizard? Todos de mis diccionarios se dicen legarto es lizard y caimán es alligator.

Creo comprender la español de Mexico

El lagarto ..... Big lizard

La lagartija .... Little lizard (the kind in your garden)

El caimán .... Alligator

El cocodrilo .... Crocodile
