Thanks so much for doing this! It's great that you encourage us to comment; might not be such a bad idea to encourage us to vote for each other too if you do this again. - Sassette, May 24, 2015
yeah totally - SariaStephens, May 24, 2015
Saria, if I may suggest: a correction, in Spanish: ¿Qué van a hacer, esté verano? - FELIZ77, May 24, 2015
You would only use the present continuous /present progressive tense to talk about something that is happening now at present time : eg Estoy leyendo o estás nadando en el mar. - FELIZ77, May 24, 2015

I'm going to hang out with my imaginary boyfriend in a flower park.

I just want to go to the beach, whatever!!

I too am going to Spain, to the island of Tenerife (where I've never been before). I'm going on my holidays with my family, being my wife and our two children (one boy and one girl) for a fortnight. My son is very excited because he already loves dolphins, but there are killer whales there too, which he also adores, but he has never seen them before in real life.

I'm going on holiday to Italy at the end of July this year. I can't wait to arrive at the hotel, make new friends, enjoy the Italian food, explore the neighbourhood, (or vicinity) and visit new places of interest! wink

The first day, after leaving my house, I will have to drive up to The Christian Centre called Oak Hall which is situated in Kent, England.

There will be a group of other people waiting there near the car park and they will take (transport ) us by car and van to the pickup point where we will get on one of the double-decker coaches belonging to Oak Hall.

We will stay in a hotel with a group of other Christians in a resort near the Adriatric sea called Cesenático.

sounds fun. You probably already know this, but I've heard that we have to be careful with the use of "coger" because of an alternate meaning. Maybe it depends on where it's used. You did provide tomar as an alternative. - Sassette, May 24, 2015
I'm not going to be scared to use "coger" unless someone specifically tells me not to in a certain setting, not that I plan on traveling. - Sassette, May 24, 2015
Page two, I am learning Castellano, the Spanish spoken in Spain where they freely use the verb coger so I have learnt to use it but I would not use it if I were travelling to Mexico or some parts of Latin America., where the word carries negative sexual - FELIZ77, May 24, 2015
overtones as I would not want to offend any native Mexican women. - FELIZ77, May 24, 2015
I have changed the word simply because the word subir conveys more accurately the meaning I wish to express. - FELIZ77, May 24, 2015
@Feliz777. You can also use "tomar." - Daniela2041, May 24, 2015
Sí, sé. .. gracias, amiga :) - FELIZ77, May 24, 2015
@feliz Thanks for giving me a good idea on where one can use "coger" and where one has to be cautious. I assume that being that I'm in the US that I wouldn't be using it with the Hispanics here. - Sassette, May 26, 2015
It does sound fun - SariaStephens, May 27, 2015
