en el dia...

I'm probably missing something obvious. Sometimes I see "...el 25 de junio", but sometimes I think I see, "... en el 25 de junio". (Ignore the date).

Is there a difference in meaning, or a general rule, for using "...en el" + some date, versus "...el"?

Gracias.

I have no idea... But i use "hoy es el 25 de junio". Why would there be an "en" there?

For that construction there would not be an "en" in the sentence. But what about: "Celebramos la boda en el 25 de junio"? - AndaBien, May 20, 2015
It's the same, "en" is not necessary - 005faa61, May 20, 2015
