Feeling lost.

Question

I am doing the intermediate 1 course aula 1 & finding the infinitive & finitive a struggle. Any suggestions to help me digest this more easily because at the moment I feel I'm fighting a losing battle & will never learn this language

There is nothing strange about infinitives, they are the basic (dictionary) form of the verb before you replace them with personal endings. Could you please present a more specific problem?

In addition to Dani´s answer, when adding a suffix to the root of the verb to form the regular infinitive in Spanish, you do the same in English by adding To in front of the verb to create the English infinitive, ie: To eat / comer. It´s very basic.

I suggest concentrating on the regular verbs first. After you feel comfortable with these, then explore the irregular verbs.

Try what works for you how you learn best. hands on, audio,visual a combo. You know you best. Keep the faith it will come, I have to find mine as well. Never give up,never give in
