I am translating a birth certificate and I am having a hard time coming up with a good translation for this sentence. "Que en el libro de copias de actas de nacimientos levantadas en la oficialia del registro civil."

....... that in the book of copies of birth certificates brought forth (registered) in the office of civil registry (at the secretary of civil registry).
This is legal language, so the variants would depend on the country. A lawyer could probably give you a better translation.

In Spain it is a common certificate. It is called "certificado de nacimiento"
