No Tengo Los Animos

Question

Hello, Trying to understand this phrase: No tengo los animos. As in, no tengo los animos charlar.

Is this kind of like saying "I don't have the energy to talk?"

It seems to me to be more along the lines of "I'm not in the mood to chat." My wife tells me that a lot, though not about chatting.

Needs a tilde: ánimos- and I think a preposition- No tengo los ánimos para charlar- but I think your read is good.
