You won´t receive an adequate answer without providing some context, such as the complete sentence where this clause appears - 005faa61, May 9, 2015
Yes, sorry, but this question makes no sense on it's own, what do you want to say? - annierats, May 9, 2015
I think I know what she means. Teachers sometimes have an extra "Spidy Sense about this stuff. - Daniela2041, May 9, 2015

"Te quieres" can and is also used in connection with other verbs.

Ex. ¿Te quieres vestir ahora? "te" being part of the reflexive verb ".vestirse."

The alternate way is to attach the "te" to the infinitive, así "¿Quieres vestirte** ahora?**"

This works with all reflexive verbs.

As far as the subjunctive use is concerned, using the same verbs, it is possible to say something like this

"No es posible que "te quieras vestir ahora" It's not possible that you would want to get dressed now.

I had to stress logic a little bit to get that last one to work. smile

The following is another example of how to use this construction. It means Do you want to marry me?

Namaste, roneyroney21. Thank you for filling out your profile. The information you put into the comment to rac1 can also be added to your profile. Knowing that Hindi is your first language is helpful because we actually have many members who live in India and perhaps they can better understand the problems you have with learning Spanish.

First about English: Always use capital I for the first person singular: I like you. Do you know that I speak Hindi

Always capitalize the names of languages and countries: Hindi, Spanish, English. India, Spain, Mexico, Colombia, England, United Kingdom, United States of America.

You do not need to capitalize common nouns like meaning, sentence, subjunctive.

Now for you Spanish inquiry: Te quiero. means I love you. ¿Qué quieres? means What do you want? but it is a little rude so it is better to say ¿Qué deseas?

The Spanish verb querer is not reflexive.

Best of luck in your language studies.

Yes, I thought about that one long and hard and you are correct with regard to loving another person querer ihas no reflexive endings but.... - FELIZ77, May 9, 2015
Jubilado, I searched carefully in the Spanish section of my Oxford English/Spanish Dictoonaty and found the verb, quererse which means to love oneseIf. I was very surprised as I did not think that such a venue existed! - FELIZ77, May 9, 2015
So I guess you could say: Would that you loved yourself! as ¡Ojalá que te quieras! ?? I wonder how common this usage is. - Jubilado, May 9, 2015
There is another solution to this. Check out my answer. - Daniela2041, May 9, 2015

Welcome to SpanishDict. Please add your language level in Spanish and what your native language is to your profile. Also, use proper capitalization and punctuation. English and Spanish are always capitalized in English.
